 Born
in Russia, former USSR where the arts are strongly enforced, her family
started her in many areas of the arts. She studied piano and dancing
since the age of 6 years old. Although Albina enjoyed music her passion
was dance. She studied Jazz, Ballet, Folk, and Modern while going to
school.
Being
an examplatory student and graduating from Kaliningrad State University
with a Master’s in Ecology and Environmental Studies. She still enjoyed
teaching children Jazz and Modern.
Albina
had the opportunity to Model as a Runway Model which gave her a chance
to meet people from all over the world. This made her want to discover
different cultures and decided to move to America.
It
wasn’t long before Albina excelled in different aspects of the Ballroom
World and was considered one of the Top Teachers in the country.
Winning many awards as Top Customer Service, great with new students,
Top Teacher in competitions and has a strong representation of students
at competitions.
While
in America and learning the language, her strongest asset was her
dancing. We were fortunate when Albina decided to join the Fred Astaire
Studio’s.
We at Fred
Astaire’s are proud to house our companies best. Albina Bashirian with
her partner Hayk Arsharkian holds the Fred Astaire American Open Rhythm
Champion Title and are the United States Rising Star American Rhythm
Finalists.
Today Albina is an Apprentice on the Fred Asatire National Dance Board. And Owner of the Brookfield Fred Astaire Studio.
Being
a perfectionist at heart, and consistently bettering herself. These
qualities are her best assets as a teacher in demanding the most
potential out of her students and staff.
